Poem of the Moment

charlesponziIn these times of Bankers’ Banquet and Proletarian Poverty, Edwin Arlington Robinson’s ironic tragedy in a nutshell “Richard Cory” seems to me sad but possibly nourishing food for the thoughtful and the bitter alike. The poem is archived, along with a zillion other public domain poems, at the Poets’ Corner, which has been accumulating an enormous stockpile of verse and putting it in readily-accessible format for years and years now and is still a very neat-o place to visit on the web.
